I have been a :Status Quo: fan since school and i like
all era,s of Quo music and hope that :Rick & Francis:
keep recording for many years to come.
I have been playing in bands for a lot of years mainly as
a lead guitarist but i also play the bass guitar, i
had a break from playing for about ten years and i
didn,t even touch a guitar until i met :Tim: who
talked me out of retirement
and it just
seemed the right time for me to return.
At the time or returning to playing i came back as the
bass guitarist for :Straight as Quo:,as in them days
it were only three piece.
Well a few years have past and a few developments
in the band and
i,m now back playing guitar again
to my favorite tracks(rocking).
My favorite song has got to be :Forty Five Hundred Times:
from the rock :Till You Drop: album couse i get to sing it.
I like playing :Rain: as well couse i get to sing that to.
The guitars i use for :Straight as Quo: are black
telecasters sprayed white with velvetune machine heads.
I have only ever used one make of guitar amp over the years
and that is :Marshall:,the one i use is :AVT 150 Combo: with
extension cabs(chunk).
The strings i use are :Rotosound: yellows 10-46 guage
and picks are :Jim Dunlop: .88 guage
(when i can get them out of Tim,s hand).
Silliest thing at a gig has got to be tripping over a
monitor in front of 2000 people and nearly breaking
my neck and guitar.
